UNACOMA is a member of CONFINDUSTRIA at the national level and, at the international level, of CEMA , the European Committee of Associations of Agricultural Machine Manufacturers. Its task is to represent Italy's makers of tractors, agricultural and gardening equipment, earth-moving machines (through a specialized branch organization, COMAMOTER), accessories and components. UNACOMA also maintains relations with a number of professional organizations, ANCE - ASCOMAC - UNIMA - CONFAI - UNACMA - UCOMESA, professional agricultural organizations, associations of producers, etc.
UNACOMA also promoted the creation of CONAMA, the National Agricultural Mechanization Consortium, whose activities were assigned to ENAMA, the National Agricultural Mechanization Agency, as of January 1, 2000. Those activities, pursued under the aegis of, and with funding from the Ministry for Agricultural, Food and Forestry Resources, cover innovation, experimentation and certificazione in agricultural machines.
UNACOMA additionally promoted the creation of IMAMOTER, the Institute for earth-moving machines within the aegis of CNR, the National Research Council. Its tasks include research and testing on earth-moving machines (ROPS, FOPS, noise levels, etc,).
At the European level, COMAMOTER is a member of CECE, the Committee of European Construction Equipment Manufacturers, also working with its counterparts in other countries: the AEM in the United States, CEMA in Japan, KOCEMA in Korea and SOBRATEMA in Brazil.
