EGMF

The EGMF (www.egmf.org - European Garden Machinery Federation) is made up of 15 manufacturing groups and 5 European Associations (including UNACOMA) and it acts as a spokesman organisation representing the sector’s interests above all in relation to European institutions.

The Federation’s structure includes a Marketing Commission – which essentially concentrates on garden machinery statistics and on legal and economic issues at a European level – and a Technical Commission in charge of studying all aspects related to regulation conformity, European legislation, relationships with environmental agencies, etc.

The EGMF also maintains close relations with its American equivalent OPEI (http://opei.mow.org) with whom it constantly exchanges information, especially on technical issues.

During the last EGMF General Assembly, in October 2006, UNACOMA’s membership application (upheld by its group of garden machinery manufacturers) was accepted, while Comagarden’s continuing membership was confirmed.
