Franco Maletti
(COMAGARDEN President)

Born February 1937, in 1950 Franco Maletti joined his father’s company “Maletti Agricultural Machinery” as technical and commercial director. On his father’s death in 1976 he took over the running of the company and thus began its foreign expansion, which would eventually cover 80% of its total production.
In 1990 he signed an agreement with the Norwegian multinational Kverneland, and by 1996 this had led to an out-and-out takeover of the Scandinavian company, renamed as Kverneland Modena.
Maletti stayed on as group technical and commercial consultant for another 5 years. In the meantime he bought a major participation in the Gianni Ferrari company, becoming vicepresident. He also became a member of the Industrial Association of Modena and Reggio Emilia, with various additional interests in the building sector.
As well as being President of Comagarden, he has also been a board member of Enama since its foundation. |
