COMAMOTER is the group of the Italian earthmoving machinery manufacturers within UNACOMA, the Italian association of tractors and agricultural machinery manufacturers, members of Confindustria – the Italian Federetion of the Industry.
COMAMOTER – among other things - carries out a service of information, assistance for its members and representation of the sector which applies to all fields, on a national and international level: keeps constant relations with all ministries, organizations and public institutes, directly or through the Committee for European Construction Equipment (CECE) - of which COMAMOTER is a member - with the main European and international organizations, and with the corresponding associations of construction equipment manufacturers in the USA (AEM), Japan (CEMA), Korea (KOCEMA) and Brazil (SOBRATEMA).
On the technical field, COMAMOTER's activity mainly concerns standardization, safety requirements, drafting of EU directives, test methods and quality assurance system. Moreover, an institute for the research and testing of earthmoving machinery has been constituted by COMAMOTER together with the National Council of Research (CNR), plus other regional and provincial development bodies. This institute is CEMOTER, nowdays called IMAMOTER, one of the major European specialized institute for technical testing of the machines, at member companies disposal.
Concerning the promotional activities, COMAMOTER cooperates actively with the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) carrying out such activities as the organization of national joint participations at international exhibitions, Italian and foreign trade delegations, market surveys into foreign countries, market trend studies and other activities to improve the acknowledge of the made in Italy production worldwide.
Comamoter, lastly, besides periodically gauging the trend of the Italian market in the sector, participates in the intercontinental statistical programme within the framework of CECE/AEM and publishes the Forecasts on the Italian and European market for earth moving machinery including data and estimates on production, imports and exports, as well as surveys and statistics on the trend of the European market in the sector.
In addition to the headquarter in Roma, and the office in Bologna, COMAMOTER has a representation office by the European Commission in Brussels.
